BIO
Raised immersed in diverse cultures, language and translation were soon key tools in my life.
It was what allowed me to connect, to feel like I belonged, to experience
the freedom of exploring different mind-sets.
With over 15 years of experience in the translation industry, I live what I do.
BACKGROUND
I graduated from two university degrees in six years (Law and Business Administration).
Intuitive time-managing skills allowed me to have several job experiences during college, having a hands-on perspective on a variety of tasks in different industries.
After a short experience in law firms in Portugal and Spain, I then decided to pursue a more business-oriented career working as an auditor for PwC Spain.
Later on, searching for a more international environment, I completed an MBA program in Foreign Trade and International Business Management in Madrid, through a national scholarship that allowed me to move to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where I reached the position of Financial Controller and Cost Department Manager in a telecommunication company.
Meanwhile, translations were a part-time job that kept growing since 2006, back on my college days.
Finally, in 2013 I decided to take a step forward and pursue my dream of becoming a fulltime freelance translator, also learning subtitling techniques to complement my training in this field. Now I get to work side by side with all these different industries, from legal departments to marketing teams, corporate to artistic, from wineries to energy companies, making sure their messages get through.
